Research Theme

Battery performance cannot be understood from a single material, length scale, or measurement. Our research connects atomic structure, interfacial chemistry, reaction dynamics, particle evolution, and electrode behavior to uncover the principles governing real batteries—and to translate them into better materials and electrodes.

We do not study materials, interfaces, and electrodes as separate systems.
We connect them to reveal how batteries actually work—and how they can be designed better.
